THE ROANOKE TIMES --Dr. Edgar "Wink" Weaver has seen a lot of health challenges in Ghana since he started going there more than a decade ago.

The Roanoke doctor is the current president and leader of medical direction for Kimoyo Ltd., an organization that promotes cultural understanding in Roanoke as well as various development projects in Ghana. They are also the force behind downtown Roanoke's Binaba Shop which sells fairly traded crafts to benefit the medical mission in Ghana. The work of the medical clinics in Ghana is directly related to MDG 6- Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases.
